I am God’s dream..

30 Apr

A “birthday” gone.. Age makes you really bored about birthdays.. as I mentioned earlier on this blog, I celebrate others birthdays more than I do mine.. its more fun when your friend takes you out and makes you feel special :) ..

Anyways I started to think what exactly is a Birthday? Is it the day I was born – yes but not exactly.. I was technically born in my mother a lot before my birthday… and thats not even getting close to my birthday, because God says that He knew me before I was in my mother’s womb..

For you created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Your works are wonderful,
 I know that full well.
 My frame was not hidden from you
 When I was made in the secret place.
 When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
 Your eyes saw my unformed body.
 All the days ordained for me
 Were written in your book
 Before one of them came to be.
- Psalm 139: 13-16

Whats really powerful is “Your eyes saw my unformed body.“.

I am God’s dream .. Cannot think of a better gift.. What Jesus did on the cross proves this further .. truly a realization that takes a while to sink in…

Still its a struggle to live through the days.. and the song below is the song on the journey to the promised land.. where I walk much like those before me.. weak and in need of constant guidance and support.. to be God’s dream..

Guide me, O Thou great Redeemer
Pilgrim through this barren land.
I am weak, but Thou art mighty;
Hold me with Thy powerful hand.
Bread of Heaven, Bread of Heaven,
Feed me till I want no more;
Feed me till I want no more.

Open now the crystal fountain,
Whence the healing stream doth flow;
Let the fire and cloudy pillar
Lead me all my journey through.
Strong Deliverer, strong Deliverer,
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield;
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield.

Lord, I trust Thy mighty power,
Wondrous are Thy works of old;
Thou deliver’st Thine from thralldom,
Who for naught themselves had sold:
Thou didst conquer, Thou didst conquer,
Sin, and Satan and the grave,
Sin, and Satan and the grave.

When I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside;
Death of deaths, and hell’s destruction,
Land me safe on Canaan’s side.
Songs of praises, songs of praises,
I will ever give to Thee;
I will ever give to Thee.

Musing on my habitation,
Musing on my heav’nly home,
Fills my soul with holy longings:
Come, my Jesus, quickly come;
Vanity is all I see;
Lord, I long to be with Thee!
Lord, I long to be with Thee!
