Friday night 00:35 Hrs… preeji, deepu, thoma and i…
after a small worship session at home we decide to head off to the hills… its drizzling.. we are all tired from a whole week’s work… and the wind has a fresh chill… and once on the bikes – our spines generating adrenaline for every moment… we worship during the ride… in parts
..
4 guys and 2 bikes…
we reach infotech park phase 1.. and take a diversion from tata tech… towards paud… preeji has “heard” its a good track… we obey…
fantastic patches along the way.. and its pitch dark…
we stop to know how it feels without the bikes light on and we heard a stream by the road… we could hardly see anything … time to pee.. wow man…
where are we going?? is that a question worth asking?? well maybe because we really did not want to go to any specific place… prolly we only knew too less… or we really din care…
whatever…
we take the straight road… we still are going parallel to the city outskirts .. so its not very scary yet…
and then comes this fantastic bridge lit up by the night, just enough… just couldn’t resist singing out loud…
all we could capture in the dim light was the froth .. after a while we move on…
the ride is now through some industrial area… chemical factories all around… the chill is now even better… every breath refreshing… sleep trying hard to slow us, suspense driving us to the next curve….
its the state highway 60…. and we go awwhh… we continue..
we reach a small village sorta place… with some shops… thoma thinks this is the turn to mulshi… we are interested and we take the right turn…
its awesome now… sugarcane fields on both sides… and we are in between two parallel hill ranges… on flat ground… its scary, narrow, and thoma looks for the correct right turn which would finally take us to mulshi…
we never reached mulshi… we took 5-6 right turns on the way only to come back from the top… because those roads went nowhere…. but the fun was worth it…
decision to take rest… where??? we can see a path to a resort.. but thats just plain boring… preeji thinks there was a waiting shed at a bus stop… oh yeah… why not…
this place is dark… but fits the plan… a small check for reptilian hints and we are in…
we could hear streams right behind us… and it was serene… basic yet serene…
but then there were writings on one wall in red.. not very soothing…
soon we get up and head off to take that correct right turn for mulshi… we try and try and give up at 4:30… decision taken to go back to the bus shed and wait for the dawn… we now wanted to see God light up a fantastic location… atleast now we knew what we were looking for…
back in the shed, the wind cools us for the next one hour and it passes like a small moment…
there it is !!! … a sense , a hint of light breaking slowly but surely…
we jump out … find a way towards the stream and sit there… its still dark… our point and shoot cameras still return black images… but what we see is just a work of art, what we hear is the most beautiful arrangement of sound… birds announce the arrival..
the waters just keep going as a single entity..
it reminded the way Christ views us as a church, his people … moving together… as one… in one direction… with urgency and calmness…
we all were infact one too in that quest for watching the miracle called daybreak…
as the drizzle drenched us we all were individually talking to God and just were struck by the majesty that He so truly is…
i loved the conversation… quiet, instructional… the presence was so thick…
what followed is indescribable… a miracle… a master’s stroke… that he repeats every morning… we finally saw the lush green surroundings, there was light…
the hill still was shy… mist wont let go that peak’s beauty so easily…
the towering trees reflected their longevity, they held the earth against the stream… every single object was so in equilibrium…. every single creation crying out the glory of its creator… breathtaking… God was now speaking in volumes… overwhelming amounts of His majesty… the way He likes to do it… in absolute grace…
its impossible to describe what the experience was in words… perhaps you are not too far from a similar experience… He likes to do this wonder every morning…
God bless you….
